The Importance of Lab Testing

CBD products are not currently regulated by the FDA, meaning that brands are not actually required to conduct and display lab testing for the products that they offer. Unfortunately, this allows a large number of ineffective and potentially unsafe products to line the shelves of CBD stores and can make the online search for safe and effective products overwhelming and sometimes frustrating.

An easy way to weed through these potentially unsavory and/or dangerous products that you may come across in your searches is by seeking out a brand that offers COAs (certificates of analysis) for their products; any reputable CBD company should have these results published in an easily accessible place on their website and happy and willing to explain them if you were to reach out with any questions or concerns.

We've partnered with an industry-leading independent lab to conduct full panel testing that shows the concentrations and potency of the CBD and the other minor cannabinoids that can be found in all of our full spectrum products. Since we have actually extracted the oils that we then use to formulate ourselves, we also chose to test them post-extraction to make sure that they are free of any harmful heavy metals, pesticides, or microbial elements. Remember, what's NOT in your CBD is also an important factor when you're deciding which product to use!
